Meeting Dorian LaMaire
by ~Moonlightstars430The wind whistled through the air as the familiar sight of Telrain neared. Miresa and Arune were returning from a training session. "We'll arrive at Telrain soon," Miresa noted. Arune fluttered by her shoulder. The small fairy was her Wingblade.
"That's good. I'm exhausted from our battle training. Maybe when we get home we can rest up," Arune sighed. Miresa couldn't blame her. She was also tired from their practicing. A few moments later they stepped foot into their hometown of Telrain. "I think I can hear singing in the distance. Has a bard come to town today?" Arune asked. Miresa listened carefully in the distance. She could hear the sound of a male's voice singing along with the melody of a lute.
"Yes, I hear it too. That's really strange. I haven't heard about a bard coming to Telrain today," Miresa commented. The Wingblade and Other traveled to the center of town. In the distance was a blonde haired, young adult. He was plucking the strings of his trusty instrument and singing a beautiful tone.
"The fairy awakened, and the girl told her this: Do you know why this odd dream keeps me from bliss? She thought for a moment, and finally replied If it is really a warning, our time we can't bide," the bard sang. Miresa and Arune exchanged glances, and then hurried to the singer.
"Hey! Please stop singing for a second," Miresa interrupted the bard and he stopped playing, eying her with confusion. "The lyrics you just sang described things that happened to me today," she spoke quickly.
"Ah, yes. You've come back from your training session! I am Dorian LaMaire. I'm in the process of telling your story to those around the world," the bard, named Dorian explained.
"I've heard that bards love to tell stories about certain groups of people. But why are you singing about me?" Miresa asked. She thought it was strange that he picked her to sing about. Perhaps her record of messing up spells has caused her a reputation that reached beyond Telrain.
"I will tell you this, because it may bring you bliss. Meikon spoke to me one day. She told me that Shokiyu would turn gray. There would be one female, that would be the subject of my tale. In my dream, she said that you were destined for greatness," He sang. But what kind of greatness would she be achieving, Miresa thought.
