The light of the full moon highlighted the night sky above. Lafisavia had finally come at last. "Arune! Are you coming or not?" Miresa hollered from the front door. She was dressed in a heavy snow coat, leather pants, snow boots, and even a scarf around her neck to protect her from the cold, Winter weather outside. Arune came fluttering down the stairs, also in heavy Winter attire.
"Sorry! I had to finish preparing for the Lafisavia festival," she panted, hovering by her Other.
"Don't worry, Arune. We still have plenty of time left. Let's enjoy the festival together," Miresa said enthusiastically. Arune happily nodded and they traveled together outside and into the center of Telrain, where hundreds of citizens were enjoying the festival. There were many stands that held festival games such as archery, goldfish scooping, lottery, and many more. There were also food and beverage stands. In the distance, they spotted Galia.
"Lady Galia, you've come to the festival as well?" Arune asked as they approached her.
"Ah, yes. Lafisavia is a wonderful time to enjoy the traditions passed down from many generations before. I've only gone out to walk and observe the activities that are taking place. Even though most families are at the festival, the temple is still busy on this special holiday," she replied. As the seer of Telrain, Galia had responsibilities to tend to. But Miresa was glad she at least has some time to enjoy the festival along with everyone else.
"I'm not surprised. Lafisavia is a time of giving. It's a great time to be thankful for all that Meikon has given us," Miresa said. The three conversed for a while until Galia had to return to the temple. She and Arune then went on to enjoy the festival. They played many of the games, socialized with their fellow citizens of Telrain, and even had a bite of the traditional food that was served at the stands.
"That was fun! I had a great time," Arune said cheerfully as they traveled back home.
"It definitely was. I hope the same applies to next year's too," Miresa smiled. She felt the gentle peck of a snowflake on her shoulder. "Hey, it's snowing," she said, reaching out her hand to let the drops of snow land in her palm.
"Oh, it's so beautiful!" Arune awed at the snowflakes that landed on the white, snowy ground.
"Snow on Lafisavia is a blessing from Meikon," Miresa commented. The snow continued to fall on the graceful holiday of Lafisavia, where people all around Shokiyu gathered and enjoyed what Meikon had created. It was truly a wonderful day for everyone.
